James' first command started in a shipyard carrying out a full repaint and major interior works and structural repairs.
Since then James has been deeply involved in several multi year refits / rebuilds. His expertise in taking complex programs and facilitating their smooth progression has been much sought after.
His expertise covers
- Class and Flag liaison and certification
- Engineering works such as replacing of generators and major components
- Hull and super structure steel and aluminium repairs and major changes such as hull extension's and deckhouse extensions.
- Full and partial repaints of vessels, including warranty works and dispute resolution on failed 'shoots'
- Repairs to failing paint systems using pull tests and gloss meters to establish condition and lifespan of paint systems
