A Sailor at heart
James started out on small yachts and dinghies as a child. He has never lost the love for being at sea. This deep appreciation for the sea has been built from over 200,000 sea miles. James understands what it takes to operate in all maritime environments.
A highlight in his personal sailing career was taking his own 43ft yacht across the Atlantic in 2018.
A Seasoned Captain and Maritime Professional
Beyond the sailor is a serious maritime professional. Safety is paramount of course but delivering the experience to the owners and guests has always been a top priority.
James has a proven record of crew retention with crew working for him on several yachts over many years.
He has a very well respected reputation which has led to him providing advice to management companies, UHNWIs and crew alike.
James now helps present with the Super Yacht Leaders Network passing on his knowledge and expertise to other Captains and Senior crew.
